The nights were dark in 1969, as all the sitcom stars fell to earth to appear in Wake Me When the War Is Over, which takes a plot that would be thin even for an episode of Gilligan’s Island (or Green Acres or Hogan’s Heroes or the Andy Griffith Show) and stretches it to the point of disbelief.
